We are a group of like-minded straight-talking individuals with a wealth of knowledge, skills and expertise. We offer honest, informed advice, which maximises value, reduces risk and ultimately challenges the delivery of cost effective, viable solutions throughout every stage of a project. Above all we aspire to be great people to work with by being collaborative, committed and helpful.
Ian’s career spans nearly 30 years and during this time he has the opportunity to work on a significant number of projects all ranging in scale, size and complexity across various sectors of the industry.
He co-founded the partnership Metrum in 2023 with the aim of bringing together highly skilled like-minded individuals who share a passion for providing first class cost and project management services to their clients. Ian is extremely motivated and driven, he takes great pride in ensuring his clients receive the very best services. Ian has a keen eye for detail and always take a very hands-on approach ensuring that each project gets the care and attention that it needs and deserves.
Ian enjoys cycling and has a collection of Brompton’s that he uses to get around; away from work he’s a keen sailor competing in offshore yacht racing.

Joanna’s career began over twenty years ago, working for a contractor before she moved over to work in professional practice. She has worked on a variety of projects ranging in size and complexity, and in a range of sectors with a focus on residential schemes.
She is an extremely hardworking and organised individual who takes pride in her work and ensuring that her client’s objectives are met through her professional, hands-on approach to project delivery.
Joanna has a degree in zoology and her interests include wildlife and conservation, tropical fish keeping, cooking, and reading.

OUR MISSION
A Sustainable Solution
As a firm we are very aware of the need to protect the environment and this is a key objective of the firm. Our Environmental, Social and Governance supports the core objectives and values of the firm. As professionals working within the built environment, we have a responsibility to limit harm to the planet and we want to make a positive difference through our professional conduct, the advice that we provide and the work that we do. We have an obligation to generate social value and wellbeing in the community and we always consider the purpose of our actions and the impact these leave on clients, people and the environment.
Environmental
In the delivery of our services, we are very aware of the impact the projects we work on have on the environment. We help our clients reach their sustainability targets through the implementation of environmentally friendly solutions of design, sustainable procurement, construction and occupation.
Social
We are committed to using our skills, knowledge, expertise and resources to create greater social values for people and communities. We are socially accountable by contributing to societal goals, whether that’s by making charitable donations, supporting our staff in pursuing charitable activities, through voluntary work or the implementation of ethical practices.
Governance
As a Firm regulated by the RICS we are governed by their Rules of Conduct, these set out the standards of professionalism and practice expected of members and firms. These rules cover a number of ESG matters, looking beyond this, we are striving to do more as an accountable business, we have embraced the principles of the RICS’s Responsible Business Framework for real estate management. Many of which are already embedded within our firm, we are using these to promote the need to effect positive change in the built and natural environments by encouraging and supporting our clients in the adoption of sustainable solutions that minimise harm and deliver balanced economic, social and environmental benefits.
